Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation Releases Music Video for Surprise Single “11:11”
Posted on 03 November 2016
Surprise – Taeyeon’s back! On November 2, the leader of Girls’ Generation released the music video for her new single “11:11”. In a surprise announcement last October 28, Taeyeon shared that she will be releasing a new single soon. She later posted the music video teaser for “11:11” on October 31.
Taeyeon’s latest song “11:11” is a pop song and ballad specially made for the autumn season – complete with the sound of an acoustic guitar in the background. Kim Eana, best known for writing the lyrics to many of IU’s and Gain’s songs, joins Taeyeon as the lyricist for her newest single.
Taeyeon made her previous comeback last June – with the release of her second mini album “Why”, featuring a total of seven new songs. In the week before the release of her new album, Taeyeon shared her new music video for “Starlight (Feat. Dean)”, on June 25. The video raised a lot of excitement, with Taeyeon and Dean playing as a couple in the video. Taeyeon finally released the music video for her upbeat dance track “Why” in June 28 – where she sings and just enjoys herself under the summer sun.
Taeyeon was the first ever member of Girls’ Generation to debut as a solo artist. Last year in October 2015, Taeyeon released the music video for her debut song “I (Feat. Verbal Jint)” - after filming in New Zealand. Her first mini album, sharing the same name, included a total of six new songs. Taeyeon was also the first artist to feature on SM Entertainment’s weekly music channel SM Station – last February, her single “Rain” launched the project off to a successful start.
