BTS Say “Not Today” As They Fight to Survive in New Music Video
Posted on 28 February 2017
BTS are back! On February 20, BTS unveiled their music video for “Not Today”, one of the four new songs on the “You Never Walk Alone” repackage of their second album “Wings”. In the video, BTS proudly declare that while a day may come that they will lose, it is not this day – “Not Today”.
In the “Not Today” music video, BTS traverse all sorts of terrain as they strive to survive a harsh-looking landscape. Joined by a crew of dancers dressed in all-black outfits staying by their side every step of the way, BTS emerge in an underground parking space and next a wide open area above ground. They’re soon running along mountainside trails and dancing in the plains by the foot of the mountains, all the while pulling off their most powerful choreography yet.
“Not Today” is one of BTS’ most intense and hard-hitting singles ever, and its music video surpassed 11 million views within 24 hours – setting a new record for the group. The “You Never Walk Alone” repackage adds four new songs to the original album “Wings” - “Not Today”, “Spring Day”, "A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone", and “Outro: Wings”.
BTS made their previous comeback last October with “Blood Sweat & Tears”, the lead single of their second album “Wings”. On February 13, BTS began their first comeback of 2017 and revealed their music video for “Spring Day”, where BTS come together to sing a deeply moving song dedicated to those who have passed away.
